Located in Punta Cana, The Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana offers a picture-perfect location for your destination wedding. If the tropical blue-green waters and powder white sands of the Caribbean aren’t enough to convince you, I know the grounds and amenities of this beautiful resort will!
I’ve helped a few of my couples plan their dream wedding day at the Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana. All too often their questions are typically about the resort’s property. They want to know where in the resort they can host their wedding ceremony and reception. So I’m breaking down all the options, in the post below!
Where should I hold my wedding ceremony at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana?
Usually, couples choose to go to the Dominican Republic for their destination wedding because of the gorgeous turquoise sea & white sand. With that in mind, the resort has many options that will provide you with that view during your ceremony.
The resort has 4 key locations on its grounds to host your ceremony or reception. You have the option of their rooftop, ballroom, the garden lawn, or directly on the beach! Of course, the location you choose will all depend on a few factors! What’s the overall vision for your wedding day? When you think of your ceremony, do you have something specific in mind? What are your thoughts about being in the sand? It’s notoriously hot and humid in the Dominican Republic, do you mind being outside where it’s hot and humid? Or would you prefer to be inside with cool AC and no view of the ocean?
It’ll be up to you to decide the type of backdrop you picture for your wedding ceremony. What view do you imagine seeing when you say I do? When you picture your wedding photos in your mind’s eye, what do you see all around you? You’ll need to know the answer to all of these questions before you make your final decision. Each location is equally amazing and equipped to accommodate you on your wedding day. It all comes down to what is most ideal for you!
How many beach gazebos does Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana have?
So you decided on a beach wedding ceremony with a gorgeous view of the Caribbean? How amazing! You might’ve scrolled through Pinterest or a Google Image search to see what the setup might be like, judging by other couples who have tied the knot there. Did you spot the gorgeous white gazebos?
The resort has a total of two gazebos to choose from for your wedding ceremony. One is at the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana. And the second is at the Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana and sits in between both resorts. However, it’s important to note, that if you plan on having children at your wedding and you have your heart set on a Gazebo, then you’ll have to choose the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana. The Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana is an adults-only resort and children are not allowed.
Where can I have my wedding reception at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana?
As with your wedding ceremony, you have four distinct choices for your wedding reception. You have the option of the rooftop, ballroom, the garden lawn, or directly on the beach!
Again, deciding where you’d like to hold your reception will all come down to your preferences. Would you like to serve your guests a plated dinner or a buffet? Do you mind dancing in the sand? Or would you prefer a solid flooring with no sand?
Here’s a little insider information that may help you uncover the best location for your wedding reception! If you decide that a plated dinner would be best for you and your guests, then you would have to choose between the garden lawn or the ballroom.
This is because the stretch of beach used for wedding receptions, and the rooftop are too far from the kitchen. Your guest’s meals would turn cold and any additional needs for you and your guests would not be easily accessible to the waitstaff.
If you are picturing a wedding reception with more of a view and a buffet dinner sounds like just the thing, then you’d have your choice of the beach or the rooftop!
How close is the beach gazebo to the rooftop?
Seems like a random question right? It’s not! I get this one from my couples all the time! Mainly because they are dreaming of a beach wedding ceremony with a rooftop reception and they are thinking about distance and accessibility for their guests.
The gazebo at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana is the closest to the rooftop. But, if we are being technical, The gazebo at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana is not too far from the rooftop either. However, something to consider is that the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana gazebo is directly in front of the rooftop. Both gazebos have spectacular views of the beach, and the tropical palm trees. So really, you can’t go wrong with either location!
Here’s the deal: I know you’re dreaming of a tropical beach wedding, warm sand, breathtaking scenery, and a gentle breeze blowing your hair in a way that makes you look even more incredible than you imagined. And I get that you’re busy with work and life. And might not be super sure about where to go or how to get the best deals or how to plan for every scenario that may arise! But one thing I know for sure is this, you don’t want to leave your wedding day up to chance.
When I work with my clients to plan their dream destination weddings, they often tell me that our time together felt as if they were planning their wedding with their best friend! Consider me your honorary “maid of honor.” The one who knows all the ins and outs of the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana and the Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana!
